DPNs or circular needles to obtain gauge.
Recommended size US 3/3.25mm

Gauge 

30 stitches x 40 rounds = 4”/10cm in main stitch pattern

Stitches used include knitting, purling, twisted stitches (ktbl), slipped stitches, passing stitches over, increases and decreases.
